Aqua Cars were formed from City Taxis when the company changed from Hackney to Private Hire in 1984. It changed hands a number of times until the present owners, Ronnie and Barry Leng, bought it in June 1990. At that time there were only 16 cars in total. Ronnie and Barry continued to invest in the company and have proudly grown the fleet into one of the most recognisable brands in the industry today.
